Privacy Notice

1. Who we are (controller)
Martial Arts Solutions is operated as a sole proprietorship by Leonardo Oros Duek, based in Israel ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for the personal data collected through this website and its enrollment forms. For any privacy question or request, contact us at registrar@booksandcourses.edu.
2. Categories of personal data we collect
- Identification: full name, country of residence.
- Contact: email address, WhatsApp / phone number.
- Academic: program of interest, preferred language, participation type, optional message.
- Account credentials: email and authentication data if you create an account.
- Support: messages, emails and attachments you send us.
- Billing metadata: order ID, amount, currency, invoice number and payment status returned to us by Paddle (we do not receive or store your full card details).
- Technical: IP address, device and browser data, standard server logs, and cookies strictly necessary for the site to function.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Provide the service (process registrations, deliver courses, issue certificates) — performance of the educational contract.
- Account creation and access — performance of the contract.
- Customer support — legitimate interest in helping you and improving the service.
- Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interest in protecting the Platform and its users.
- Legal, accounting and tax obligations (including issuance of tax invoices) — legal obligation.
- Product and service improvement — legitimate interest, based on aggregated usage data.
- Marketing communications about our programs — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing of personal data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients:
- Merchant of Record — Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates, for the sale of our programs, checkout, payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, fraud prevention and customer service related to orders. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Tax invoicing provider — Green Invoice, used to issue official tax invoices (חשבונית מס/קבלה) required by Israeli law.
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers used to run the website, database and authentication.
- Email delivery providers used to send transactional and academic communications.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) when strictly necessary.
- Authorities where required by applicable law or binding legal process.
5. International transfers
Some of the service providers listed above are located outside Israel and outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States and the United Kingdom). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms recognised in the relevant jurisdiction.
6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account or academic relationship with us is active, and afterwards for the period required by Israeli law for accounting, tax and certification traceability purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records). When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest on managed cloud infrastructure, Row Level Security policies on our database, and access controls limiting data access to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis.
8. Your rights
- Access, rectification and deletion of your data.
- Restriction of, and objection to, processing.
- Data portability where applicable.
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary for the site to function (for example to keep you signed in and to secure the checkout flow). We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this notice and, where required, request your consent.
10. Updates
This Privacy Notice may be updated. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted on this page with a new "Updated" date.
